Are most West Ham fans all wrong ?
Everyone and their uncle are telling us we are doing exceptionally well and that our Manager has done a brilliant job.
Obviously West Ham must be looked at without a shred of respect from all these so called pundits and supporters of other clubs.
You have to be a monumentally shit club for anyone to think that West Ham are doing anything more than average, surely we have the players to do better or am I wrong ?

Re: Are most West Ham fans all wrong ?
To be fair to Allardyce it has been a good season for him. He is a decent manager who keeps teams up and his teams generally hover around lower mid table which is exactly what has happened.

However that is as far as he can take a Club. The start this season was magnificent but Allardyce with his limitations couldn't kick the Club on and with the Olympic Stadium on the horizon the Club needs to kick on and that means we need a Manager who can do that.

Re: Are most West Ham fans all wrong ?
Reality is that if you look at overall results he's a good manager. Mid-table having been safe very early on in the season is a decent performance.

It's the how he got there that's the problem.

Re: Are most West Ham fans all wrong ?
It's just us & Real Madrid really. Real Madrid are replacing Ancelotti & they have a short list of 4.
They are Klopp, Benitez, Lopetegui & Mourinho.
Inexplicably Allardyce is not on the short list which comes as a shock to English football pundits such as Stuart Pearce & Gary Neville who believe Sam has done an unbelievable job securing a bottom half finish for us deluded Hammers fans with notions above our station.

I can't help but think he is mocking the supporters when he comes out saying things like that.

How anyone can compare our fan base with Hull's sums the whole thing up,we are a sleeping giant but people like myself are fed up having the piss taken out of us and have made a stand.

We need to aim high and we can reach up and grab glory by winning the cups as the so called big teams dismiss them because they are a hinderence to them, hang on a bit like us :-(((

Exactly. Fucking disgraceful.

Some twat on Talksport saying that if the our season was reversed we would be over the moon. Well, I am sorry, if the season had been reversed he wouldn't be in a job. Just irrelevant clap-trap from another so called pundit who doesn't go week in week out.

Three league wins since Christmas. We aren't wrong.

Re: Are most West Ham fans all wrong ?
So Sam Allardyce claims we have had an 'excellent' season.

Really? We are, as it stands, 12 points from being in the relegation zone. 12 points!! 4 bloody wins. That is it.

And Sam Allardyce believes that is an 'excellent' season. So next time soneone outside of West Ham puts there two bob in remind them of that.

And so there, in a nutshell, is exactly why Sam Allardyce is no longer the right man for West Ham United.

Caught up in a hail of his own bullshit and spinning of stats that he fails to see the monumental size of our collpase this season.

He also fails to understand and see where the fans and the owners want to be at this point in our history. Sam Allardyce is on a different page to everyone else associated with West Ham and now is the time to say goodbye.

Now that silly old bat has gone, they might do ok next season.

On the thread, if he manages to finish below Crystal PALACE for the second season running, even his media bumchums would struggle to make his performance sound good or anything like progress.

Stewie, I know mate, it's cost my Dad thousands.....he did a five fold multi bet thing, got four of them - told him to stick Bristol Rovers in for promotion, but he went for Torquay Utd.

Re: Are most West Ham fans all wrong ?
You sure Mr T.

You see I could have sworn our CHAIRMAN said we should be aiming for top 6.

So maybe your idiotic "as deluded as the barcodes" line should be addressed to him.

JGW1 9:48 Mon May 18
Re: Are most West Ham fans all wrong ?
Its pretty laughable really. The only relevant fact is that in the last 2 seasons we have had a very short spell in each where we managed to achieve a remarkable run of results. Apart from that we've been relegation form for 2 years solid. Simple as that.

And its dire to watch.

I don't think anyone in their right mind can claim that we are progressing or suggest that that reality is the basis for recommending a manager for the job. You don't pick a manager on the basis that he will play awful football in an entertainment business, generally provide shocking results, but manage a short run of form once a year that will keep us in the division.

Like I say, laughable.

Mr T. 9:48 Mon May 18
Re: Are most West Ham fans all wrong ?
We are either delusional or masochistic.

We're getting as bad as the barcodes for what we think our expectations should be but secretly I just think we would all rather have a desperate battle for survival rather than the borefest of mid table.

Our one and only priority for next season is to remain in the Premier League - and that is quite correct given the coming changes at the club.

Allardyce is a sure bet for that.

"why not have a look at Torquay Uniteds second half to the season, while we're at it. "

Been awful mate, almost as bad as ours

Re: Are most West Ham fans all wrong ?
One pundit on the weekend thought all was well, 'cos "you only have to look at Hull City"

Yep, almost identical clubs in terms of size, support base, recent expenditure, revenue and future aspirations.

why not have a look at Torquay Uniteds second half to the season, while we're at it.

21% of West Ham fans didn't read the question in the poll properly?
